PCV valve location

Asked by GuruY1B5K Mar 14, 2018 at 10:36 AM about the 2009 Saturn Aura XR

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was told I needed to replace my
pcv valve on 2009 Saturn aura XR
4 cyl (gas) it's not plugged into a
grommet on the valve cover. I was
even told it was part of the valve
cover on the inside of it and
ordered a new valve cover but that
was incorrect. I've called the
dealer and several automotive
shops they'll all charge me to
replace it but none will tell me
where it's located. I appreciate
any help you can give me with
this.

It is part of the rocker arm valve cover. According to the service manual "the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is a fixed orifice system."
