Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It is sending an error code for a Camshaft Position Sensor. It runs rough at stops lights
and pretty much shows most of the symtoms relating to it. I have now replaced both
sensors and checked all the wiring and it still runs very rough and I don't know what to do
next. Im am trying to eliminate the least expensive things first as i am on a budget but i
need it to pass smog.

How could i test this at home? I'm sorry I know more about the old engines rather than alll the new electronic controlled ones
