It has a timing chain, which rarely needs to be replace. Are you a member of ChevyHHR.net? They can answer all your questions on there.

I DON'T THINK I AM A MEMBER. IS THERE ANY WAY YOU CAN TELL ME ABOUT HOW MUCH IT MAY COST TO FIX THE TIMING CHAIN ?

The chain replacement is about 800-1,000.00. All depends on the shop. If your going the shell out that kind on money make sure you trust who you bring it to and get some kind of warranty too. The shop I bring mine too is great (hard to find them) and very trustworthy, he charges 65 per hr. which is reasonable and doesn't "book time it" like a dealer will. If a mech. is good ,he will always get it done better then the book time. Dealer mechs. do too but the savings don't go to you, they go to him/her mech. and get that in the way of a bonus on there paycheck.
