The backseat in my 09 tahoe gets wet during rain.

Asked by Kathy Nerat Nov 02, 2020 at 09:01 PM about the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe 1LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just had car in for repair. They decided it was seal around door, replaced that
and charged me almost $800. Had a lot of rain 2 days later and backseat was
wet again. Took it back to shop today and the guy said he didn't know the seat
was wet, said he's never seen this since doing this kind of work for 40 years.
There's  no sign of water dripping or water marks. Hoping someone  has
suggestions.

Have someone sit in the rear of the car with a water hose on the SUV and see where the water is coming in.

Thanks for responding, I went outside during the rain, and checked all around. Felt around and couldn't see or feel where it's coming in. Just noticed seat was wet. Talked to a guy at the shop today still haven't found the leak. When I called they had water running on the car for 6 hrs. Nothing.
