Change 2nd row bench into captain's seats

If tahoes ever came factory wth captain seats the holes should already be there under the carpet they'd just be covered with metal tape. Thats what I found out about an explorer when I added factory third row seats to it. You could also take out the carpet set the seats where you want them, mark the holes with a sharpie and look underneath the floor to make sure you're not drilling holes into anything that doesn't need holes. They also make drillbit stops so you don't drill to far past the sheet metal.

I have a tan leather bench seats and really need to trade for bucket seats. I have a 2011 Tahoe LT the seats are in perfect condition and babied. I'm in central Texas and would like to remove a black leather bench from a 2008 Tahoe and replace with black leather captain's chairs. Anyone want to trade? Also, removing the second row bench is easy enough. Do captain's chairs fit the same holes as the bench?

Hey Joe does your black leather bench have seat heaters and power tilt up? From what I've read they are interchangeable, the bolt locations are there in the vehicle for either, but I think you have to swap the carpet coverings or surrounding floor trim or something like that around the seats on the floor.

I just have a poor man's bench - no power or heaters. It is out of an LS model where we reupholstered with leather. The leather is in pretty good shape. There are some indentations where the car seats sit, but no tears or worn spots.
