How do I put the shifter boot back on?

I have a 2005 for escape limited and need to know
how to put the shifter back on that goes under the
knob part.

Not sure on your vehicle, but most times you have to remove the console or shifter panel. the boot gets attached on the backside. You can't do it from above.
