Disable dome light

Asked by Jose Feb 12, 2017 at 04:48 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Impala 1LT FWD

Question type: General

I am doing executive protection for some private people.
The Damn. Door light will not stay off  when entering or
existing vehicle. Can't be stealthy with this issue. I see a
button un door hatch cannot find what's that for?

Just remove the bulb from the socket, or go on line and find the owners manual

I think you need a P71 Panther platform CV.

In my 2008 Chevy Impala, there is a knob below the button that pops the trunk (to the left of the steering wheel). Turn that knob counterclockwise to turn the dome light off. Note: NOT the knob that operates headlights.

That knob does not turn the light off. Only tune does. After a few minutes it just goes off. I dont want it on PERIOD when I open the door.
