I am looking for the block heater plug on my 2005 Ford Escape. It gets really
cold here and I park outside, and I don't know where the block heater is. Does
anyone know?

Block heaters are option equipment and not standard. If your Escape actually had one, you would find a plug on the passenger side of the engine.

I believe what you found is just a block plug. But a block heater, remover the plug(have a bucket ready) and after the fluids stop draining install your block heater. Use zip ties to secure your power cord so it doesn't flap in the wind or catch something and get yanked out
