Asked by Oyis Nov 26, 2014 at 10:19 PM about the 2005 Ford Escape Limited AWD

Question type: General

I have driven for 20 mins, parked for 3 mins while the engine is running, then when I am
about to leave, the steering suddenly became very difficult to maneuver and the engine
and battery suddenly lit on.

Its an Automatic Transmission by the way

Serpintine belt broke. Or a pully locked up on front engine . Power steering pump ,locked up ,broke the belt so no power steering . Or rack and pinion blew out. Hopefully just the belt came off and is easy fix
