Did you scrape down the surfaces for the new gasket? Bet there's a leak. Re-do the job, squirt gas around the intake joints, and see what happens. (just a little)

I have a 2006 Grand Marquis, Normal 4.6L V8. Every couple days, my car will randomly begin idling seriously rough, with the rpms dropping to 300-500, then jumping back to normal every few seconds....
