I had the same issue in a 2003 that I just bought in February. Although the car was running just fine for me, what I decided to do was quickly turn the key off and back as fast as I could and the light went off. After finding a filthy filter in my housing last week and had to buy a new one. Although the shop where I bought the car told me that they just did a bunch of work on it and I trusted them on this and figured the filter was replaced, it was not. Although I feel quite gullible for allowing them to do that, I should have asked for paperwork on what exactly was done to the vehicle in the first place. my intake housing is now spotless ( I actually found sand in it). good luck
