Left lights on batterydead won't jumpstart

Left my lights on all night today battery
completely dead. Tried to jumpstart and
engine won't crank am I doing something
wrong?

If vehicle is completely dead try leaving cables on for a few minutes before trying to start also vehicle that is jumping your vehicle accelerate slightly for the few minutes also.
