2005 Ford Escape Shifter pieces

I am looking for a piece that is missing from my ford escape. I have attached the photo
below with the item circled. I borrowed a picture from someone else's shifter. I know I
might need to replace the bezel and all, but I am looking for this part because I have no
experience in purchasing part and this is just an eye sore with it missing.

This same part was missing on mine and I replaced it with a $1.00 black Nylon Plug from Home Depot. They come in different sizes. I forget which size I used. I had to trim it to fit a little bit, but now it looks like it was made for that purpose. I think I used a little bit of rubber cement to hold it in and it's been there for years.
My 2005 Escape shift indicator panel (the flexible piece of plastic that slides with the shifter) has broken off and looks like the one in your picture. I wonder how to repair that.

Looking for a shifter slide cover for 2005 ford escape limited. Or, best glue to bond it back together.

well, it's no Feb 2021....still no help from anyone on my issue of the flexible piece that slides with the shifter. Look at the pic above...Not the item circled, but the piece next to the shifter. ....anyone???
This thread is 6 years old. You'll have better luck starting a new thread so everyone can see your question. A picture, like the one on this thread, will be helpful as well. To get the piece you want you'll probably have to buy the whole shifter assembly. Jim
