2009 Lincoln MKX remote start

Asked by rgh2521 Mar 15, 2019 at 01:02 PM about the 2009 Lincoln MKX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I reprogram my remote start? Bought car used from dealer. It has a
factory installed remote start, but no one can tell me how to use it?  Even the
dealership didn't know.  The key fob needs to be reset I think.

Check your owner's manual or ask anyone with a fairly new car how theirs works. You might just be needing a new battery for the remote. Also note that the remote start won't work if there is a "check engine" light being displayed.
