Nissan Altima Limp Mode

Asked by Grayson Jul 26, 2023 at 06:01 PM about the 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Vehicle goes into limp mode after about 45 mins to an hour
of highway driving. Vehicle doesn't do this when city driving
(errands, daily driving, etc.) When limp mode is activated,
vehicle throws no check engine or warning lights.
Transmission was replaced nearly 3 years ago. Fluid level is
within the safe zone. Coolant level is also good.
Lost on what would cause this issue.

Still get the codes. If none are listed then you will need to have the vehicle live data scanned, and when you do make sure you tell them when it happens so they know about how long it takes to get it to act up. Use an independent shop, stay away from the dealer.
