If I'm understanding what your saying, when you get on it, or goose the gas it whines and has no get up and go? If this is what your saying, your exhaust (more than likely the catalytic converter) is clogged and the whining is your exhaust being forced backwards through you EGR valve. It might drive okay on the flat for now, but that won't last. A great place to shop for parts or get an idea how much it's gonna cost: rockauto.com Good luck and keep me posted.

Try a full service tune up and check all vacuum line for leaks. Make sure its looked over well. Is the check engine light on if so get it scanned at a auto parts store. Make sure your catalytic converter is functioning.

I have a 2009 Niassan Altima 2.5S and I suggest that you run your vin #.... type in recalls 2009-2010?? Nissan Altima and 9 times out of 10 your catalytic converter is not functioning properly and it is most likely on the recall list for emissions etc., but the good news is you get everything replaced and the ECM engine control module reprogrammed "FREE" so look it up on your computer.Better yet if anyone needs their vin number ran under recall I'll be more than glad to run it for the ones that are not familiar with computers. send your VIN # year make and model to owensjackie23@gmail.com and I'll gladly assist the ones that need help. God Bless
