WE REPLACED THE LIFTGATE SHELL. WAS OPENING AND CLOSING
BEFORE BUT WONT NOW, DOES ANYTHING HAVE TO BE
REPROGRAMMED?

Don't know about any needed re-programming but I would double check any wiring that had to be swapped for the new shell. The liftgate needs to communicate its position to the computer and, in turn, to other electronics to make the system work correctly.
