Shudder

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2005 XLT 4wd about 69k miles... I have a shudder that feels like its coming from the driveshaft. The shudder happens usually from stop until I'm up to about 20 mph. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions would be appreciated!

Change your transmission fluid. The transmission fluid in the Escape should be changed every 30,000 miles. The dealership may also have an update for your computer. The shudder is most likely the torque converter.
check the u-joints on the driveshaft for play, just push up on it ,if it moves up and down, replase both of them.
