rubbing noise from front left wheel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Have a 2005 Escape XLT 4WD that is making a rubbing/whirring noise from what I
think is the front left wheel. The noise is worse when when turning left and produces
enough vibration that you can feel it in the gas pedal.
We just bought the vehicle and it noticed the noise/vibration, but thought it was just
loud tires or the 4WD (we have never owned one before now), but it is now noticeably
worse. Also, it might just be my imagination, but it feels like this is causing a the
vehicle to drag or slow down when I take my foot off the pedal. I do not believe it is
brakes as there is no squeaking and it brakes nicely. Any ideas what it could be?

I am having the driver side wheel hub replaced in my Escape as I write this. The vibration and noise was most noticeable over 45 mph but the noise was at any speed if I turned the wheel slightly to the right.
I have 2006 ford escape. When I slow down or drive slow I here squealing noise. It don't happen when I push the brakes.
Did u by any chance figure out the issue? I'm experiencing the same issue ...the noise worsened as I turn to the left and slow down, but then stops when I turn right....please help

2005 6 cyl. ford escape all wheel drive. Last year front rotors and brakes replaced. 2 months ago,July 2019, I replaced the auto tune ring because the 4 wheel drive light was blinking and you tubes fix worked. Now my driver front wheel is making a squeeling noise. I popped the wheel off and nothing looks wrong. Hmmm.Drove to the store and back, now squeel.
Did you resolve the issue? I'm having the same problem.
