On my 2008, it turned out to be the oxygen sensors that needed to be replaced.
I had the same problem, after changing the gas cap it still stayed on. then my battery died, when i change my battery the lights went out those light also tell you when your battery is dying, unhook your battery cable, then reconnect it , it should turn off.
I have a 2009 V6 RAV4 and the service engine, 4WD and traction light come on and stay on why?
