2009 Ford Explorer AC only blows on high

Asked by LH06 Sep 08, 2021 at 11:06 PM about the 2009 Ford Explorer XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The AC only blows on level 4 (high).
It does blow cold air, so I know it's not related to the refrigerant, etc.

I have replaced the resistor, the blower motor, the relay, checked all related
fuses, and replaced the blower motor selector switch (the knob control).

A faulty resistor seems to be the most likely culprit, but having replaced it
already I can only assume that it is something else that I cannot find or have
thought of, or, that I must have bought the wrong type of resistor.

Any other suggestions before I take it to a mechanic to have him replace a
part that I have already replaced?

You could have bought test equipment ( multi tester ) instead of parts you didn't need . now you're back where you started and still need one to check the switch .
