I have a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with 18 inch chrome covered wheels ( Factory) , Question is, did they make any regular steel wheels in 18 inch. My spare is going to rust away here in Ohio due to salt and under the Jeep. Would like to save that wheel and put a non chrome one under Jeep , Not concerned with look matching to get me home .

The Chrome wheels are about $300 from Jeep and $200 at salvage yard , so a good spare would be nice to have, It won't be nice if left under Jeep . 2009 had lifetime drivetrain warranty , so it will be in family a long time , We have a 2002 Grand Cherokee bought new with 187,000 miles on it, so we don't trade often .

I suggest adding the spare tire into your tire rotations schedule. Instead of a four wheel rotation, rotate all five every 5,000 miles. This will ensure the spare tire is cleaned periodically.
