Is it misfiring? I know where I am, rodents chew in wires here and make huge issues.
You've scanned it for trouble codes, right? What showed up? If you haven't scanned, do that next. Also check fuel pressure. Perhaps a failing fuel pump?
I had to go get a complete tune up wires and all. Then I had no more problems.
