Brakes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Have a 2009 Silverado 1500 that gradually looses brake fluid over time. Have replaced front pads and no evidence of any leakage. I visually inspected all brake hoses and rear drums for outside (have not taken rear drums off) but no sign of leak. Is it possible for master cylinder to leak to booster. Brakes are working ok but brake level keeps dropping about 1/4 inch each month.

Something is leaking. A brake line, master cylinder or wheel cylinders. Find it and fix it!
If you're certain none of the lines or wheel cylinders are leaking, then it may be the seal on the MC losing fluid into the booster. Pull the vacuum hose from the booster and look for any sign of wetness.

To be sure you have to remove drums wheel cylinder maybe leaking bit not enough to show signs of leaking from just looking at it.
