the driver side low beam headlight burned out on my 2009 gmc sierra crew cab, i changed it( little to no room to do this) and it still dont work any ideas , driving with fog light on all the time

you'll have to test for power at the plug(i know this truck being a pain in the ass for headlights) if theres power its possible uve touch the bulb while installing it or the connecter isnt makeing solid contact with the pins on the bulb

agreed with other poster,if you touch the bulb part their is something in the skin oils in the fingers that stays on the bulb,once installed and turned on it will blow that quick.I keep a box of surgeral gloves around for this among other things,oil chang ect.

FIrst, when changing the headlights on these trucks it is always best to go from under thr truck or the inner fender to have a better access to the lights. Thats how we do it in the GM garage. Second, test the connection make sure you have power and if you determine you have power then like the last post wear gloves and install the light that way. If it is still blowing out then you shoudl check and make sure that your wires are not sliced somewhere and grounding out. Need more info I can ask my electrical guy for you.

I have the same problem and cant seem to get it to work, wore glove while installing and still doesnt work! any Ideas as to where the short may be?

The right and left side high and low beams have there own seperate fuses under the hood

I got a year out of the last one. This time instead of pulling the battery I used a 4" hole saw to bore a hole for access then went on to Amazon and got a 4" Carplug and stuck it the hole. There's wires up on top of the wheel well, so be careful where you drill.
