heater core issue?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Thanks for your input, it has been very helpful.  My concern is am I to hasty to have the carpet dry?  It will be one week 7/27 having the heater core fixed.  Maybe the carpet was so saturated it will take longer to dry?  I am here in Florida, and with all the humidity?  The carpet has a weird feel to it, kind of oily I guess from the coolant leaking into it?  I have put a paper bag on top of the carpet now, to see if it seems wetter.  Thanks, and I look forward to any suggestions.  Should I take it back already, or give it a few more days?

I would actually take a solution of dish soap and water and scrub the carpet then take a shop vac and vacuum the heck out of it. Then take paper towels and blot up some more. After all that watch it for a few days. The floor in some vehicles can take several days to dry.
