Engine light keeps coming on

Question type: General

Bought a 2009 1.6ltre Mini Cooper estate recently and the engine light comes
on regularly. We check the engine oil every month and top up when necessary
(which is far more than any other car I have owned). Any suggestions why the
light keeps coming on?

it could be one of a hundred issues. You can find out just by scanning for the OBDii trouble codes. Have an auto part store do it for you, or have pick up one yourself or download an app and purchase a bluetooth adapter.
