I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. Last week I fueled up
and drove it to get lunch a few miles away and when we came out from the
restaurant 15 minutes later the truck started and then died. I got it home and
it is clearly a fuel problem; however, other than that I have no ideas. The
starter tries to start, the engine turns over, but nothing. If we use Starter
Fluid, it starts briefly then just shuts off. I tried to check fuel pressure but the
fuel rail doesn't have the test port and we couldn't get the fuel line
disconnected from the fuel rail. We checked for the relay underneith the fuse
box and it isn't there. The fuse is good. What else can I, or should I test,
before replacing the fuel pump/filter? I have read it could be the Torque
Cconversion Conrtol Selenoid (Can't find the location), also that it could be a
relay but can't find a relay, or it could be the TIPM computer under the
dashboard.
