Engine does not complete the start processq

Hi i was driving home last night just has i am about to
arrive i started feeling the car losing speed, it felt like it was
stalling but its an automatic so it cant stall. So in any case i
immediatly pulled over switched off everything. Then when
i tried to restart the engine starts but doesnt complete the
cycle. You switch on the ignition but it doesnt complete the
cycle for you to start accelerating. There are also no errors
being displayed. The car is due for service by a couple of
days i was meant to take it this weekend. Now i am stuck in
MOZ please somebody help!!! Its an audi a4 1.8T.

It sounds as if your fuel pump quit. Do this remove the gas cap put your ear close to the opening as someone turns the switch on, can you hear the pump run for several seconds then shut off? If not try this have someone turn the switch on as you bang on the fuel tank with something heavy if it starts replace fuel pump this only works once or twice so if it starts drive it to your mechanic l hope this helps you
