Question on 2009 Audi A4 Quattro Convertible
Asked by quickkj Jan 27, 2015 at 03:51 PM about the 2009 Audi A4 2.0T quattro Cabriolet AWD
Question type: Car Customization
I am in the market for buying my first used audi. I am contemplating buying a 2009 a4 2.0T Quattro convertible - s-line with navigation and has 38,100 miles. The are asking 22,850 for it and don't seem to want to negotiate. My questions are:
1. Do you think this is a great price for this car?
2. Do you think I could get away without a warranty?
3. What is the reliability of the 2009 Quattro? Has there been a history of anything going wrong on that car and year?
Thank you

www.kbb.com, www.nada.com are good places to determine an approximate value. Also I like to look at www.carmax.com to see actual selling prices they are getting. Audi is an expensive brand to repair so I would think a warranty is necessary. www.trudelta.com has reliability ratings.
Listed here on this site the 2009 A4 Cabriolet convertible w/ 29,000 miles are going for about $19,500. So that's a bit high. And I agree with Bob, usually I don't recommend aftermarket warranties but it's a sophisticated, albeit well-engineered car. For owners reviews, see what they have to say Google the car and go to Edmunds.com or any of them really
Offer them $20,000 and make them throw in a warranty.
Don't do it- you Audi know better-
I get it Jam.. oh lord...
