Have ford f250 super duty 6.4l..temp gauge rises slowly in winter...summer is fine. set off engine light..will it hurt engine before i can get it fixed

my temp gauge will not rise much in the winter...works fine in summer. it set off
my engine light for low engine temp....will it hurt my engine to drive until i can
get fixed.

it's probably just the thermostat it won't hurt anything unless it doesn't open at all , replace it and don't buy cheap
