Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a BMW X5. Had to use a lock smith to unlock
it. Now the key fob and center button will not lock
car, with door shut car thinks it is open, the fob and
center button will unlock the car, the fob will also
open the trunk.. the touch unlock on the door does
not respond as well.. the manual key is the only way
to unlock

he used a tool in the key hole itself. when unlocked it did not unlock the rest of the doors in the vehicle like it should have. I tried unhooking the battery and hoping it would reset the door itself. My question is there a sensor in the key hole. The car cannot go into gear because the car thinks the drivers side door is open even when closed.
