Swap 2010 Camaro V6 for a 2018 Camaro V6

Asked by Guru16T6J Sep 25, 2019 at 07:16 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro LS Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I have a 2010 Camaro V6 Automatic with 140,000 miles. Rather than buy a
new car, I am considering purchasing a wrecked 2018 Camaro with V6 and
auto with 6,000 miles. Will it work if I swap out the engine, tranny and ECU?

With enough work you can probably make it work but I think you will be trouble shooting it for weeks if not longer. These are different generation cars and engines which won't make it a bolt in swap. If you are a talented mechanic go for it. If you are a total novice I advise you to not do this.
