the v-8 & v-6 have timing chains... if u do your oil change 4months or 4-5k miles u shouldn't have that problem; in my opinion. i have a v-6 and i put 3 quarts in the engine and three quarts in the filter to avoid a dry start & ensure proper oil delivery when i change oil. also oil filter cartridge is slightly oiled before install for better delivery. if u want a v-6, buy the 2012 v- 6 not the 2010 becoz it was improved. my 2012 v-6 has 71k miles trouble free.
