Please give a better description of your problem. You have asked for 2 separate items.
It's 1 question - Passenger Side Intake Timing Sensor failed. First, would not accelerate normally from a stop, would not shift into 3rd gear and started shaking unless I accelerated real slow. Then the SES came on. The problem I stated is what Infiniti Dealer told me. I had it fixed and within 10 miles, same error. It's back wih Infiniti until they figure out what is going on. What causes this to fail on a 3 yr old car with only 22k miles on it?

The replacement part probably has a defect from where ever the dealer has it made. There might also be a wiring problem that could be causing the problem. Fortunately for you the dealer has all the computer equipment to diagnose it along with the wiring diagram. The right side is unable to know where the fuel and fire should take place during combustion and the vibration is from dead cylinders.
thank you, appreciate your input. I talked with them again and they also said the same - either defective part or wiring problem or both. They are keeping the car for at least 2 days to make sure they correct the problem.. Hope this is the last of it.

I hope for your sake and know how frustrating it can be at times. We love our vehicles but also know it's the worst investment we could ever make.
