Very poor MPG on Kia Rondo with 43,000 miles. Is this a phenomenon?
I recently bought a 2009 Kia Rondo 2.4 that has 43,000 miles. My cruising range is
less than 275 miles, giving me 17 MPG in town and 20 with a 40/60 (city/hwy) mix.
When I did 80+% hwy, I got 23 MPG. When I drive like an old lady, I still get 17. The
car runs great except the transmission slips between 1st and 2nd a couple of times in
30 miles driving around town. I am concerned about this, but the dealer reset the
memory (?) in the transmission and drove the car and said the transmission is fine. I
don't agree.
The MPG is my biggest complaint. Any ideas? If I spend money, can I correct this?
