AC and Amplifier

Asked by Abby Jul 17, 2017 at 04:47 PM about the 2010 Mazda MAZDA3 s Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn off my car my AC stays on, as
well as my amplifier connected to a
subwoofer. At times, turning off the car
even causes the entire sub to vibrate and
rattle my entire car furiously, without any
power or radio being played at all. This has
caused my battery to die so I am now
disconnecting my car battery every time I
park it until this is fixed- it has been
checked out by several mechanics and no
one can determine the problem as it
happens sporadically. Please help

I would disconnect all of the aftermarket audio equipment to see if the problem stops.

Yep sounds like whoever connected the Stereo system spliced into the nearest Hot Wire they could find instead of running their own wiring with a fuse for it too, which BTW I always do for mine. A amp needs its own hot wire with a dedicated in-line fuse.
