Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm attempting to repair the front bumper of my 2010 toyota corolla, while
removing the bumper I noticed a box/pump near the front left wheel that was
broken/ not connected. Is this the AC filter? Should I repair this before installing
the new front bumper?

Could be a fuel vapor canister or a fresh air pulse box. If it has wires going into it then it’s most likely a fuel canister

Looks like the engine air intake muffler. Yes, you should repair it before replacing the bumper. By having it disconnected the air going to the engine is not being filtered by the engine air filter. All the road dust and dirt is being sucked up into the engine! Hope that helps!
