Car Problem :/

Asked by Tyler Dec 18, 2015 at 01:09 PM about the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has a hard time starting and when it
does it hesitates and wants to shut off and
right before this it started fine but I would
put the gas to the floor and it would go
over 1,500 rpm. I just took the air filter off
and cleaned before all of this. Is it the O2
sensor or what could it be?

A bad o2 sensor would throw a code, so get those scanned and it may give you a clue what your problem is. You may have any number of fuel-air delivery problems. You should also check for any vacuum leaks, especially around the PCV valve/elbow, and check the condition of the PCV valve itself.
