2010 Toyota Camry XLE

Question type: General
I have a push to start button. This is my first vehicle that
has that. When I pushed the brake in and pushed the start
button my dash lights all flashed and sputtered at me and
the engine wanted and was turning over but also
sputtered before turning on. What is wrong with my car?
I've had it for only a month and am very upset!

Are you holding start button when cranking. If so all you have to do is just press it and let go. If not. You could have a weak battery or loose connection on battery.

I am holding the button for 2-3 seconds- not long at all- about how long I did before this problem started.
Ok. Try just holding brake and pushing and let go. Holding it can put it in shutdown. Like turning regular key off. If problem continues. I would have battery checked and have it scanned for any codes in system.
