Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can not locate the keyless entry antenna for my 2010 Taurus limited. The fobs
do not work at all and the IA key is not recognized. I suspect the antenna may
be bad..

In the trunk under the rear package tray next to the keyless module. You did check the fuses right?

I have checked the trunk area sides top and back. All I can find in the truck area is the sound system and wiring harness to the rear bumper and truck lid. I had a new fob made as only one came with the car and it also only works in the backup pocket for starting. The locksmith said there had to be an issue with the car system.

The unit is under the rear package tray cover panel, but if you have any functions at all then it’s not the antenna. More like the main keyless module. If that is the case then a dealer will need to replace it and do the reprogramming so your fobs work. They will need all the fobs at that time. It’s not going to be cheap if you can get the parts. I’m starting my 9th week waiting on a body control module. Good luck
