why would the message state 3 keys programmed when I only have 2

Recently the message states 3 keys programmed but I have had the car for 1 1/2 years with only 2 keys

I'm having same problem but yo car won't start. I did change battery in remote. And car battery is 1.5 years old.

Your buick has 3 key fobs the 3rd key is a valet key that the dealership keeps until you pay it off!
