My 2016 Malibu dash lights does not come on in the mornings they will come on later down the road this has been happening for the last 2 weeks, could that be a fuse or relay too.
My speedometer light went out and i cant see how fast im going at night. I was wondering how to fix it?
What relay ties to the dash board ? My dashboard gages won’t work or turn signals. My thief light is on and brake light are on but the car runs and drives with problem
My 2013 Malibu's dashboard has no power -- Cannot tell how fast I am going or how much gas I have. Is this a wiring problem ? If so, this is the second one I have had with this car. First time heater came on full blast and I could not turn it off.

To anyone that’s having instrument cluster problems, like speedo not working or can’t see anything expect for like tire light or engine light... I have replaced the dimming Module and that did not fix the problem so I have removed my entire cluster gauge and will be replacing it. I’m more then sure that will fix the problem and if it doesn’t, FML.... . It took me 30 mins to take it out and it was fairly easy I’ll be back with an update to help anyone out having this pain in the ass issue
Same issue with my 2018 malibu. It had happened a couple times where the dashboard not registers, speedometer, fuel gauge ect. I took it to the dealership last time and they have it back working. They played around with fuses but they dont know how they got the dashboard back working........that's crazy that the dealership doesn't know how to operate on their own cars.
I have the same issue with my 2018 Malibu. My car runs fine but cant see how much gas, mph etc. I also took it to the dealership 2 months ago and they got the light out and working but dont know how they did it. They just checked fuses and realized it was now working. That's a shame. Now the light is back on
Seems on some of these cars a sensor wire has been grounding on under the passenger seat and causing similar issues from the research I've done. Some folks say simply sliding the seat to a different position fixes the problem. Hope this helps!
My wife has a 2013 Malibu. Her gauges would flicker and be dead for a few days then work than go off again. Our solution was a bad fuse located in the cabin left side.
I also have the same problem on my 2010 malibu. And although it's not a fix. But I go underneath the fash on the passenger side to the fuse box and pull the bottom right side fuse and wait 10 seconds and put it back. That usually gets to turn back on at least for a day or so, sometimes a few days. Hope it helps y'all out for a day or 2 at least. Good luck.
2013 chevy malibu. Took it to the dealership today because it wouldn't start. Got it jumped and also asked them to check out the dash while it was there. No speedometer, gas Guage, rpms, etc. But I can see the check engine light and the screen for the radio works fine. They told me its the cluster.

My daughter's car has this problem. I was told to replace the battery cables. I replaced (4 cables $275) did not fix the problem. Doing Internet research I found that I need to remove the gauge cluster and send it to circuit board medic. I am going to try that next. jac

I took mine to the dealer and they sent it off to get rebuilt cost me 700 and it went back out in 2 months
I know this may be an old thread but I recently acquired a 2011 malibu and when I had gone to see it before purchasing the cluster was not working so I told the used car dealer that I was not buying it unless it worked and they bought an used one from the junk yard and put it in and it has worked fine for about 5 months but the odometer is stuck since I aint paying the dealer to transfer the mileage and the cluster flickered from time to time. I have the same issue again since last Saturday and I removed the fuse and waited a few and put it back in and it worked but this morning it was out again. I saw a YouTube video of a very knowledgeable dude today in which he fixed one by changing a tiny capacitor. The issue seems to happen more easily when it's cold. I am thinking chevy were biting off more than they could chew when they made these since it seems to be a very common issue. I also have issues unlocking the car with either of the two keyfobs and already replaced both batteries on them so I might just have to take a loss and trade it for something else since these "little" issues are more than just annoying.
