Interested/Concerned in Buying a Pontiac G8

Asked by SamanthaM88 Mar 04, 2014 at 10:20 PM about the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Im looking to buy a Pontiac G8. I love the car, how it drives, all the features etc, however
I'm concerned with the possible repair costs that I might have in the future
So what should I consider or look into before investing in  a car whose manufacturer
doesnt exist any longer?
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! - Sam

I have a G8 for sale with only around 36,889 miles or so; the worst problem I have had with parts is the driver's side control panel; it was very hard to find to replace (dealer replaced it twice); I have a third one which I haven't installed, but is included with a sale. G8 is a fun car; parts can be found (I believe), but may be somewhat expensive; GM should have done something about the seat panels, but when I tried after warranty, after much case dealings, nothing was done; part was not that expensive, just hard to find one reasonable!!
