How did you get gas in oil..do an oil change NOW...gas will badly dilute oil and hurt engine..or did you mean oil in gas...that will smoke a little but if very small amount it shouldn't fowl plugs..just drive it.
Generally gas is injected into the intake and when the intake valve opens it is drawn or sucked into the cylinders. The gas/air mixture is then compressed and ignited when the spark plug fires on the up stroke/compression stroke. If there is a hole in the piston, or a ring is broken, fuel will leak down the jacket and drip into the oil. If a ring is broken, you also should get oil into the cylinder and you will have black smoke out the tail pipe or the exhaust pipe will have a black soot or residue in it. Is the engine running a tad bit rough? If so, you may have a cracked block, head, or a cracked piston top. My next question is, how do you know you have a small amount of gasoline in the motor oil? Gasoline will dry the surfaces the oil is trying to coat and lubricate. So if you indeed have gas in the motor oil, the next thing will be a pounding or knocking in the motor before it seizes or explodes. Have it checked.
My daughter got my oil changed and was told by the mechanic that he smelled gas in the oil. It's like evey few months I am fixing somethign major on this truck are the 2010 Equonox a good SUV??
Replace the mechanical fuel pump on the engine. It's leaking into the head and running down to the crankcase. Don't let it run too long, major wear will happen.
