Sister went to the store came out started her 2010 cobalt ran for about 30
seconds and then shut off now it won't even turn over

First try removing and cleaning battery terminals then jump vehicle if it still does not start.

If no start with your matco jumper jump vehicle with cables from another vehicle once cables are connected slightly rev up vehicle that is jumping your vehicle for about 2-3 minutes then try starting vehicle.

The terminals are clean as if they were brand new, I will try car to car jump and let you know...Thanks

If still no start check the engine fuses in the fuse box under the hood.

Did that found the ECM/Trans fuse blown and now we have ignition ...THANKS

Thanks for the help but it appears the car has an electrical demon...Keeps blowing the ECM/Trans fuse, I have checked wiring and have found no wires melted, Checked the alternator and it appears to be good...Let the car sit a day or two and replace the fuse it's runs great but then it will blow fuse and it's dead until you let it sit for a couple of days

Google ( vehicle keeps blowing ECM fuse ) will take you to sites that give you things to check for why the fuse keeps blowing.

Thanks firebird338 I did that and have checked the alternator and fuel sending unit and wiring and at this point I'm lost

Just found an article that says Chevy has had a problem with this happening and it says look on the passenger side cylinder head where the wiring loom runs behind it. Somewhere in between the distributor and the head there will be a wire rubbing against the block causing the ECM fuse to blow. Find wire and reroute it or use electrical tape, anything to stop the short to bare metal. This person bets that this is your problem has happened to him and many others. Good Luck.

Turns out it was a wire on the front part of the motor that had rubbed on the oil filter housing...Thanks to all for the help

U got a wire that is broke or bare that go to trans or to the pcm shorting put check fuse bow wire to thein sind car of u put a radio in make sure u didn't pich a wire
