If i install a new unprogrammed bcm in my 2010
cobalt lt2, will anything work on the instrument
cluster? I am only asking because my instrument
cluster quit working back in sept 2019. Only the
check engine light and backlighting work. I tried
installing a new cluster and that didnt work. So i
ordered a new bcm but have not taken it to be
programmed yet but i want to make sure the bcm
is the problem before paying to have it
programmed.

I agree. Before buying parts of any kind its a good idea to find out what the problem is. What did it say when you scanned it for trouble codes?
