I have a 2010 Chevy Impala & when I turn the heater on it only blows heat on the passenger side not the driver side it also blows heat for a couple of minutes after that it just blows cold on both

You mean threw the vents? If you got heat threw the passenger side, the thermostat should be ok. What does the gauge say on the dash? Thinking you may have a duck work problem, maybe an actuator module under the dash, I wouldn't be totally sure until my Impala gets home later today. Someone may jump in also in the mean time..
