I have a 2010 Grand Marquis that I replaced the rear air ride compressor on 18 months ago, I have only driven 20,000 miles on it and it is gone again. Should an $800.00 repair last longer than that?

What brand was the compressor? Arnott industries makes a quality unit as well as Ford Motor Company. My 2004 Mercury Marauder has the same suspension system and the original compressor still functions.

There might be an aftermarket kit on Ebay to put regular springs in there, I know there is for Lincolns. Permenant fix.

Changing to regular springs from air suspension will negatively affect the ride. It won't be a huge difference, but it will be different.
