Problems connecting aftermarket radio

I’ve hooked up a aftermarket dvd radio in a 2010 Ford Focus I used the wire kit so it just a plug in play without cutting wires. I turned on the car no power to the deck I had to hook the red and yellow wire to the fuse in the car then it comes on. I’ve also hooked up a subwoofers and a amp to it and it won’t work even though the amp is on and yes I tested it out on my car to make sure it works and it does.. I’ve hooked up over 30 cars in 20 years and this is the first car that has me at a loss.. can you please help I need guidance....
If you can't wire things you should let a stereo shop handle the job.
